This conference could not happen without the generous support of our sponsors.
We want to extend a huge thank you to all of the sponsors for the 2024 Sustainable Ocean Conference: Tides of Tomorrow.

Coastal Action is a charitable organization located on the south shore of Nova Scotia that believes in safeguarding a healthy environment for future generations. For over 30 years, our goal has been to promote the restoration and conservation of our environment through research, education, action, and community engagement. We work in five core areas: Coastal & Marine, Watersheds & Water Quality, Species at Risk & Biodiversity, Climate Change, and Environmental Education. The organization receives direction from a volunteer board of directors supported through a full-time Executive Director and has been an established member of the Lunenburg County community since our inception in December of 1993.
The Ocean Frontier Institute (OFI), led by Dalhousie University, is a global leader in interdisciplinary ocean research. Established in September 2015, OFI unites researchers, industry, and government to develop solutions for some of the world’s most pressing ocean-related challenges. This includes achieving net zero, protecting biodiversity, and sustainable bioresources.

OTN is an aquatic research, data management and partnership platform headquartered at Dalhousie University in Halifax, N.S.
Since 2008, OTN has been deploying innovative ocean monitoring equipment and marine autonomous vehicles (gliders) in key ocean and freshwater locations around the world. OTN’s technical capabilities have since expanded with the addition of remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and side scan sonar systems. OTN’s mission is to inform the conservation and management of aquatic species by tracking their movements, habitats and survival in the context of changing global environments.
OTN is changing the way oceans and freshwater systems, and the life that moves within them, are understood. New technologies are providing a window into the underwater world; at the same time, the way this information is stored, managed, shared and visualized is creating and sustaining research networks around the globe. Knowledge generated through OTN collaborations is used provincially, federally and internationally to help guide the conservation and management of aquatic species and the sustainable use of ocean and freshwater resources.
The Marine Environmental Observation, Prediction and Response Network (MEOPAR) is a national network sponsored by the Strategic Science Fund that links top marine researchers and highly qualified personnel across Canada with partner organizations and communities. MEOPAR funds leading-edge research, overcomes barriers to collaborative research and helps to train the next generation of marine professionals.
